Editor Consignment is a women’s clothing boutique based in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood (1407 NW 70th St). Editor brings together contemporary recycled fashion, locally made jewelry and ceramics, and a rotating selection of essays and prose.
Emily Schikora dreamed up the concept for Editor Consignment by combining some of her favorite things: treasure hunting, one-of-a-kind clothing, good books, new writers, and community. Editor is a place to browse a curated collection of women’s fashion, consign your clothing, ask for book recommendations, or talk about writing. We’re always interested in hearing about your latest style obsession, what you’re reading, and the projects in your head or on the drafting table.
Emily is a writer and curator who comes to Seattle via Alaska (where she grew up), Portland (where she moved to escape the cold and dark) and Chicago (where she went to grad school to study writing.) She loves Earl Gray tea in the morning, red wine at night, reading in bed, and her fluffy black cat. Her goal for Editor is to create a place that makes space for and celebrates the feminine experience through fashion, art objects, and literature.
