Editor Consignment is a clothing shop based in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood at 1407 NW 70th Street. Editor features a collection of current fashion pieces with a focus on independent and slow fashion designers alongside a handful of statement and vintage pieces, small-batch jewelry, and beauty products.
Emily Schikora started Editor in August 2017 as a 10x10 pop-up at the Fremont Sunday Market and moved the business from market to live/work studio as the business slowly grew. In November 2019, Editor moved into its home on 70th Street, nestled between a few of our favorite restaurants, including Delancey, The Fat Hen, Rosellini’s, Frankie & Jos, and the cooking school, The Pantry.
Editor is managed by Kennedy, who has been with the company from the early days. Alli is Editor’s lead buyer, and Alex and Nikki work the floor and give excellent outfit advice. In June 2022, Emily teamed up with Cybele Phillips and opened Creature, a sister consignment shop in Capitol Hill.
Emily is still at Editor most days, and when she isn’t, you can find her at Creature or just up the road on Phinney Ridge at Drink Books, chatting books and drinking natural wine.
The Editor team loves neighborhood dogs, pizza, pastries, Fat Hen fogs, ice cream for lunch while speed reading a novel, the most exciting selection of garments that come through our doors, and the stream of familiar faces that walk by daily. Come say hi!
